LinkSPINE is a small, privately held medical device company focused upon development of less invasive techniques for spine surgery. LinkSPINE is a sister company of Waldemar Link GmbH of Hamburg Germany, a worldwide leader in Reconstructive Orthopedics.

Helmut D. Link formed
LinkSPINE in 2010. He has over 40 years
of experience in surgical instruments and medical devices, and has been
involved in the development of reconstructive orthopaedic and spinal implants through
cooperation with orthopaedic surgeons and neurosurgeons throughout the world.
Mr. Link has a long list of product
developments, including some of the first joint replacement devices for the
hip, knee, ankle, lumbar, and cervical spine.
Today, his organizations are well known for precision quality surgical
instruments, best-in-class reconstructive orthopaedic implants, and continual
innovation.
Dennis Farrell joined LinkSPINE in 2011 as Vice-President of Marketing and Product Development and assumed the role of President in 2015. Dennis has 15 years of sales, marketing, and clinical research experience in the spinal industry, having previously held positions with SpineTech, Cervitech, and NuVasive.
Dennis earned a BS degree in Marketing from James Madison University, and lives in Dayton, MD with his wife Susan and three boys.
Tom joined linkSPINE in February 2017 as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Tom has 25 years experience running commercial operations in the spine industry with companies such as Alphatec, Pioneer Surgical, Archus, Spinal Concepts (Abbott Spine), Interpore Cross, and Zimmer.
Tom earned a BS degree in Marketing from The Ohio State University and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He lives in Mission Viejo, CA with his wife Linda.
Juliana Castro-Risueno joined LinkSPINE in January 2011 as Director of Operations. She is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the company, and planning use of resources to maximize productivity. Having previously held positions with Cervitech and Link Orthopaedics, Juliana has 10 years of customer service, operations, and IDE clinical trial experience in the spinal and orthopedic industry.
Juliana lives in Mount Olive, NJ with her husband Hernando and two daughters.
Fabian Schöllchen joined LinkSPINE in November 2014 with extensive experience in medical device sales and marketing. He has held numerous sales and marketing positions with multi-national companies and has successfully executed numerous launches of new products in company owned and independent distributor
sales channels.
He is responsible for the European Spinal Business Unit out of Hamburg, Germany.
Nick joined LinkSPINE in March 2015. He has worked in spine for 13 years, having previously held positions at Theken, Integra, and X-spine. He spent the first 15 years of his career in injection molding of commercial products.
Nick graduated from University of Akron with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Lisa joined LinkSPINE in November 2016. She has worked in the healthcare industry for 26 years having held positions in both clinical and manufacturing arenas with increasing responsibilities in Quality Assurance over her career with the University of Maryland Medical System, Quest
Diagnostics and Becton Dickinson.
Lisa earned a MA degree in Healthcare Management from Notre Dame of Maryland and a BS degree in Medical Technology from University of Maryland at Baltimore. She currently lives in Abingdon, MD, with her husband Jamie and two dogs.
Malte Steiner is a biomechanical engineer with deep scientific experience gained through studies at several universities in Germany and Canada. He gave his academic career the final touch with the completion of his PhD thesis, which focused upon a numerical simulation of bone healing. Malte has worked for several companies in the development of large joints and spinal implants.
He joined LinkSPINE in November 2014 as a R&D engineer and in addition to his technical responsibilities, Malte manages the LinkSPINE product portfolio out of Hamburg, Germany.
Riccardo Signoretti is a high-tech engineer specializing in micro-sized mechanics and electronics. After receiving his BSc in Mechatronics and his MS in Nanotechnology, he honed his technical and management skills in the MEMS Industry. Riccardo brings significant research experience, earned through study in Europe, the US, and Japan. He joined LinkSPINE in March 2014 and is leading the development of the next era surgical tools by integrating high-tech solutions into the surgical theatre.
